The Walnut Boulder Open House

The design center for The Walnut Boulder, at 1215 Spruce Street, is open today from noon until 3pm. This is your chance to take a look at the design and architectural concepts for one of the most progressive and luxurious new Boulder condos.

The project is scheduled for completion later this year. I’ve been watching the deconstruction at the downtown location for many weeks now. Since developers in Boulder such as Morgan Creek Ventures have embraced Green concepts such as deconstruction rather than just razing old buildings, it’s been fascinating and encouraging to watch the process progress towards completing the first phase of the project.

Some key concepts to take away from this about The Walnut include we expect it to be the first LEED-certified all -residential building in Boulder, the project has a strong focus on maximizing views, daylight and fresh air through the strategic use and placement of glass, and that all materials selected by the architects have been chosen both for their beauty and their lower impact on the environment.

Project Stats:

  • 34 custom condos
  • N.W. corner of 17th & Walnut in downtown Boulder
  • One and two bedroom flats starting at $515,000
  • Two-story ‘Brownstone’ and ‘Skyhome’ units from $1,270,000
  • Scheduled completion before end of 2008

If you want a chance to see what The Walnut is all about from a design and architecural concept, you can take a look today at the open house.

If you miss the open house or just want to be sure you’ll have representation from a Realtor not working for the developer/builder, let me know and I can get you a private showing at the design center so you can see if The Walnut fits your lifestyle.
