Indian Peaks Final Building Phase

indian-peaks.jpgThe Indian Peaks community in Lafayette has announced its final neighborhood.

Developer, McStain Neighborhoods, has said that the last project in the Indian Peaks community will begin construction soon.  The new home sales office will be open sometime this summer.

If you’ve not heard about Indian Peaks yet, it’s a development that has, in my opinion, transformed the quality of housing products and neighborhoods in Lafayette area in a very positive way.

This last neighborhood, Indian Peaks South, will boast such green building features as a solar-powered recreation center that includes a private swimming pool. (The rec center is scheduled to be an exclusive center for the neighborhood only).

Indian Peaks’ “final chapter” will also include a large park that connects to miles of trails and all the rest of the entire Indian Peaks community including the ‘world-class’ golfing experience.

A wide variety of all-new home designs including a ranch plan and a main-floor master plan are coming at a great time. I’ve noticed that many of my buyers are requesting one or the other either because they’re aging baby-boomers looking to the future or younger buyers simply anticipating one of two things: future re-sale opportunities with the ranch style of main-floor master, or the possibility that aging parents might join them prior to entering a retirement community or simply for extended visits.

With single-family homes starting in the $400’s this sounds like a good value provided the square footage is sufficient to compete with other local options (count on the one you pick with the features you will probably want getting you up to around $500k though…).

I have more home buying tips and buyer info so if you’re thinking about buying a new home, send me an email or give me a call soon to get the assistance you deserve.
