Flatirons Habitat For Humanity Event

The local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, Flatirons Habitat For Humanity is working hard to help fund the 50th home built by this internationally known organization in our local service area since 1994.

I want you to know about this because I work on the ‘outreach’ committee at Flatirons Habitat, and now more than ever, the organization needs help providing simple, affordable homes to people that otherwise couldn’t afford a home.

If you have questions about how Flatirons Habitat works in our community, call or email me and we can talk more about it.

The local Boulder are Habitat affiliate is fundraising in a rather fun and exciting way. The folks at Flatirons Habitat are selling tickets to  a presentation of the play “The Producers” at the Boulder Dinner Theater.

The date is coming up quickly, so don’t wait too long to buy your tickets. Doors open at 6pm on Friday February 6th, 2009.

You can buy tickets now by calling 303-447-3787, and ask for extension 228.

Or, you can go to the Flatirons Website donate section, and enter in the Event Name: “Producers” to buy tickets online.

Tickets are $75.00 per person, Corporate Sponsorships are available, and there will be a live auction at the event as well. Here are some sample items you can purchase at the auction to benefit

  • Four tix to any CU Buffs football home game in 2009, (except the CU vs. CSU game).
  • One of a kind hot air balloon experience.
  • Two-hour glider ride.
  • Four tix in United Western Bank Corporate Box (center ice) for Feb 13th game: Avs vs. Montreal Canadians.
  • Light-sport airplane intro flight lesson by Sky Raider Aviation based in Erie, CO

There will also be a special event for those of you who would like to participate in a straight donation event. A $50,000 special-appeal, paddle-raiser event, to build the 50th home built by Flatiron Habitat for Humanity, will be part of the auction festivities.

In addition to the items above and the ‘special-appeal’ event, there will be many other unique, valuable, and desirable items offered during the auction. If you are able, why not come and help us help those that aren’t, and support Flatiron Habitat for Humanity?

Thanks, I do appreciate that you read my blog. If you want to talk more about what’s going on at Habitat, or the real estate market, call or email me soon so we can do that.
