February Superior Colorado News

Live in Rock Creek in Superior, Colorado? Then you might be interested to know, if you hadn’t noticed already, that the local Town of Superior newsletter went digital only, and with that change, you won’t see the Superior Sentinel unless you get it online.

I read a copy of the Sentinel recently, and noticed that it included some notes on recent town board actions.

If you’ve been interested in what’s happening in Rock Creek and Superior, you might not get all the news from the Daily Camera (nope, it hasn’t been officially called the Boulder Daily Camera for a long time); and you won’t hear a lot about Superior in the Denver post either.

The “Hometown News” publishers also did away with the weekly free local newspaper that used to land on your driveway every wednesday too. The word was that Superior news would be covered in the Louisville publication. Sounded good, except no one in Superior gets that paper delivered as far as I’ve seen.

Don’t think hard-copy printed news is going the way of the dinosaurs? Wake up and smell the coffee.

Here’s an excerpt from the Sentinel about Superior Town Board actions:

Call, text, or email me today! …especially if you’re ready to talk about selling your home, buying a new home, or know someone that is moving! I’d love to help you, or someone you know get what they’re looking for in Rock Creek, Superior, or the greater Boulder Valley area.

During the past month, the Superior Board of Trustees has:

Approved the annexation and zoning of the Madson property, a 1.4 acre parcel recently purchased by the Town for open space

Amended the schedule of system development fees charged to new utility system users

Approved annual work programs for the Town’s five advisory committees

Approved a six month moratorium on the establishment of medical marijuana dispensaries in the Town

Approved ballot language for three referenda to be held in April – dealing with establishing a library tax levy to support continued contractual library services with the City of Louisville; moving municipal elections to November; and publication requirements for Town ordinances

Approved a contract to manage the Superior Morgul Classic, a three-day community event scheduled for May 28-30

Received a progress report on the Board’s 2009 Goals Statement

Discussed the status of its two large-scale, ground-mounted solar installations
