Crossroads Commons Redevelopment Moving Forward

According to the Boulder County Business Report, Barnes & Noble Inc. has signed a lease for its new store at Crossroad Commons in Boulder, marking the first step of redevelopment for the shopping center at Pearl and 28th streets.

We’ve heard the stories for a while about Whole Foods expanding at their current location and Barnes & Noble taking on new space. I had heard from several people that they thought that Barnes & Noble would move over into the old Landmark movie theater space to the east. Now according to the article, it appears they’re building a new facility.

I hope that someone figures out the parking over there. I know that whenever I try to even get past Crossroads Commons from my office at 49th & Pearl it often takes three or four cycles to get through that section of Pearl Street between 30th and 28th going westbound.

I’ve tried all sorts of convoluted ways of getting in and out of the parking lot for the Whole Foods and it still is a jammed up mess. Frankly, I also don’t like the tiny parking spaces and while I’m on a roll, can Whole Foods include some changes in the renovation to their building for the entrance and exit?
