City Of Superior Responds to Water Leak
Early Sunday AM the Boulder Daily Camera delivery driver spotted a river where it shouldn’t run through it. Our neighborhood that is.
An underground valve for the domestic water supply in our neighborhood failed and so hundreds of gallons of water formed an ad hoc river. Thankfully the DNA driver made a phone call and the Town of Superior responded promptly.
While none of us were really thrilled with the prospect of having our water shut off mid morning, it was great to see the Town of Superior respond so quickly.
In fact, Judy Hauschulz, Superior Colorado Public Works and Utilities Coordinator was on site to observe and supervise the process of digging up the street. I was impressed with the crew that came to deal with this problem and the level of knowledge they brought.
So we followed up a couple of days later to see how it was going and it’s as if these guys think street repair is art. An amazing job of precision in their work which has to be admired.
My kids also thought it was kinda cool to get to see the guys in action. While waiting for some equipment (bobcat with jackhammer attached), one of the workers was kind enough to answer my 7 year old son’s questions (which were many).
Small town feel in the burbs.
