Boulder Recycling Drop Off Center

If you’re interested in taking your recyclable materials to a drop off center, Boulder has a facility in the eastern part of town that accepts just about everything recyclable. It’s open 24 hours a day and this location takes many of the items that some of the curbside recycling programs won’t pick up for you.

Because this drop off recycling center has separate collection containers for certain things,  you’ll need to be sure to separate certain items such as cardboard and brown paper bags, magazines / catalogs, office paper, newspaper, and phone books.

Other collection sites are available around the area that accept things you want to recycle in commingled collection bins. Ward, Jamestown and Eldorado Springs are a few that do it that way.

The Boulder drop-off center for recycling is at 1901 63rd Street which is between Arapahoe and Valmont. This is NOT the center for “hard-to-recycle” materials such as electronics, block foam, books, etc.

For dropping off hard-to-recycle items, you need to visit the Eco-Cycle Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials at 5030 “old” Pearl Street. (Pearl east from downtown, north on 49th Street at the light, right on “old” Pearl and right at the Eco-Cycle sign). This center is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Call them at 303-444-6634 for more details or visit the CHaRM Website.

I wish we had the kind of recycling in Westminster that Boulder and Superior have.

Got something to say?
