Access to Boulder Real Estate: US 36 Corridor

us36.gifThere’s a public meeting for anyone interested in the latest on the US Highway 36 Corridor issues. This could have a large impact on Boulder real estate and certainly the transportation issues in and out of the city.

us36_cars.jpgI remember spending lots of time commuting from my home in central Boulder to downtown Denver back in the 1980’s and it seemed like Boulder was more of a ‘bedroom’ community. The big load of cars was leaving Boulder in the AM and rolling back along Hwy 36 in the evening. Now my experience is just the opposite.

us36train.jpgCall me crazy, but I think it will be great to see a strong combo of extra lanes for regular traffic, HOV lanes, light rail and whatever else makes people flow where they need to go.

The US 36 Draft Environmental Impact Statement can be reviewed at their project website. You can submit Email comments there or attend the public hearing.
