Superior Colorado Calmante Development Resurrected By Boulder Creek Builders

The Calmante development in Superior Colorado is finally going to be finished. Thanks to Boulder Creek Builders, who has a great reputation and track record in the area, including a project over in Louisville, CO at Steel Ranch things are back on track on the corner of McCaslin and Coalton in Superior.

There has been news about this on and off since last fall, and it’s finally happening. I’ve noticed that construction crews are working the land, and the old sales office has been removed as well as the broken down signs and stuff.

Finally it doesn’t look like a ghost town wasteland next to the firestation.

In fact, there are some good things brewing over there.

Two of the planned town home buildings were completed several years ago, and essentially all of the roads and infrastructure looked to be completed, then everything stopped.

Boulder Creek Builders has indicated that they expect to complete the construction of 65 units by the end of 2016, and they expect to sell out within three years from the beginning of ‘vertical construction’.

At a recent meeting I attended which included discussions about various projects around the area including the Superior Town Center, and other parcels in the vicinity, I heard that in addition to the town homes, there will be “senior-friendly” ranch style and patio homes built on the land to the west of the existing Calmante neighborhood along McCaslin Blvd.

This area was originally intended to be commercial, however according to sources at the meeting, the town board and planning commission of Superior has approved the residential construction in this area.
