Longmont Gets Memory-Loss Care Center

Know anyone struggling with Alzheimer’s disease, or another memory-loss related illness? You’ll then be glad to know that Longmont will soon see a special 56-apartment facility called the AltaVita Memory Care Center.

The facility is specifically dedicated to those who are dealing with memory loss.

Oriented around clients who have very special and specific needs such as those who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease, the locally-owned and family oriented facility will include a 36,000 square foot complex, with an inner courtyard, and four pods extending off of the courtyard.

The facility is scheduled to open in April.

More Jobs/Money Hit Boulder via SolidFire Inc.

Here we go again… another tech related company, SolidFire relocated to Boulder.

The reason? Founder and Chief Executive of SolidFire Inc., David Wright was quoted in the Boulder County Business Report as saying his reason to bring his company from Georgia to Boulder was to take advantage of the Boulder area’s history of innovation in data storage.

Remember, one of the early ground-breakers for the high tech and data storage in our area are IBM, Exabyte, Storage Tek, and many other  spin-offs from through the last few decades… so SolidFire is right on track with the analysis that our area has a history in data storage.

Flatiron Park Business Park Sells Huge

A Texas-based real estate investment firm has acquired 19 properties in the Boulder Colorado Flatiron Park development.

The entity which purchased the park is called Goff Capital Partners, and while according to an earlier article from the Boulder County Business Report by Michael Davidson, Flatirons Investments LP was specifically established as an entity to purchase the 19 properties for Goff, which include over 740,000 square feet of space at a price of almost $70 million; Goff Capital Partners LP has offices in Greenwood Village, Fort Worth Texas, and Stamford Connecticut.

The properties include leasable office space, flex space, and warehouse space.

Market Comparison Boulder Real Estate 2010 / 2011

Ok, so now we’re looking at the difference between sales in Boulder for the calendar year 2010, versus the YTD sales as of the end of October 2011.
