Hudson To Build More Boulder Condos on 28th St.

Looks like we’ll see more Boulder condos going up on the east side of 28th Street in Boulder. Boulder-based Hudson Construction LLC has apparently received city approval to build a 16-unit condominium project on land it owns at 1280 28th St. The 39,626-square-foot multifamily building will feature larger than typical condo units from 1,600 to 2,500 square feet and a 14,745-square-foot underground parking garage according to a BDBRdaily story.

The city values the project at about $3.4 million. The units will be for sale, said co-owner Dennis Hudson. Prices have yet to be determined.

Boulder-based Junge Associates is the architect for the project, and Hudson Construction will be the builder. The company tore down an old apartment building on the property to make way for the project.

We’ve seen Hudson apartments grow over the last many years and yet a quick search for Hudson Construction, Dennis Hudson and Junge Associates revealed very little. I did find that apparently Jim Junge thinks favorably of Continental Hardscapes and their concrete work as there’s a testimonial from him. Strange how sometimes there’s so much information and then sometimes so little.

This project isn’t too far from the First Christian Church project. Interesting to see so much going on in places like this that otherwise low on the desire-ability scale because they are close to things like busy roads. Things do change.
