If you already own a home, and are selling your primary residence to move into a new home, you may qualify for up to $6500 in tax credits. Your deadline to to qualify is you need to be under contract to purchase by April 30th 2010, and you will have to close before June 30th 2010.

Interest rates continue to be at record lows, more jobs are coming to the area, and inventory levels (homes for sale today) are reasonably good.

Number Sold: 6

Average Price: $215,214

Median Price: $178,000

Average Days On Market: 145

I think we have some over-priced homes on the market. A well priced, well-prepared home that marketed properly shouldn’t take over 90 days to sell in this market, and especially not 145 days. Perhaps too many sellers are reading Money Magazine and trying to hit a home run?
