Church Will Be Used In Boulder Real Estate Condo Project

firstchristianchurch.jpgEver notice the First Christian Church building in Boulder just east of 20th street as you come in off the Boulder turnpike (Hwy 36)?

It’s hard to miss.

Looks like this historic piece of Boulder real estate will not be torn down. Instead it seems to be slated for preservation as a central feature of the new loft project.

landmarklofts.jpgChanin Development is under contract to purchase the property and his Landmark Lofts project is designed to retain the church as a focal point.

“It will become a focal point for the community around there,” Chanin said. According to First Christian Church documents, Chanin has agreed to purchase the property for $6 million. The deal is pending full entitlement and city approval for the third phase of project, Chanin said.

I think it looks like a nice component to the mixed use direction that so many are taking in Boulder real estate developments these days.
