Cool Boulder Post Run Fuel Tip

Here’s one for those of you who like running, biking etc… from one of the many emails I get from Active Runner, a recipe and some handy info about a post run snack that may be just the ticket for these warm late-summer days.

Especially if you’re one who likes to head out in the heat of the afternoon. Not my preference (I’d rather run in the rain, in  the morning, with a temp about 55 degrees, but hey, that’s just me).

Applesauce Granita with Maple Yogurt
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup fat-free yogurt (either vanilla or plain, I like to use Dannon Light & Fit)
