Superior Colorado Fire Victims Assistance
I’ve noticed that since the devastating Boulder four mile canyon fire, a lot of attention has been given (rightfully so) to the tragedy of so many people who lost their homes and more to the fire that wiped out many parts of the suburban foothills near Boulder.
In the wake of this, it seems like several families have been forgotten.
Just prior to the Boulder fire, a building burned in the Summit development in the southern Rock Creek area of Superior.
From some of the information I’ve received, I heard that several of these families lost everything, except their lives, and to rub salt into the wounds… they didn’t have insurance.
Kirsten Beemer in Superior, is coordinating efforts among several groups and citizens to bring assistance to these families. If you think you’d like to help, or would just like more information, I’ve included a quote from an email from Kirsten.

Superior, CO Real Estate Market Roundup June 2010
Superior Colorado is still a well-liked and sought-after mature suburban community, with easy access to Boulder, Louisville and Denver.
It has homes for sale in a very wide variety of price ranges and continues to appeal to many people.
Finally, we’re seeing inventory levels (homes for sale) back up, and the number of homes sold higher than they have been in the last couple months. Typical numbers as we get into the summer. It’s a good sign.
We’re seeing first time home buyers, repeat buyers, and even buyers within the community doing the ‘move up’ thing as well.
Market prices have held very steady, although I’m still noticing some sellers haven’t quite grasped that, while a steady market like Superior is great in this kind of national economy, there are still some home sellers who are trying to hit that ‘home run’ and have overpriced, or mis-prepared their home for the market. I know I’m being redundant, but it’s a fact that some are over pricing when they hit the market. … just a bit thought…
Let’s take a look at the sold data for June 2010, and then if you want to talk more about the Superior market, Call, text, or email me and we’ll get you inside one of the homes for sale… OR if you are ready to sell, and want to discuss some unique marketing strategies for attracting the most buyers for your home before you overprice, let’s avoid simple ‘old-school’ methods of selling and marketing a home that simply don’t work in today’s market.
