Erie Colorado Wise Farm Redevelopment

There’s apparently a bundle of ordinances on board to be weighed tonight that could change the property’s zoning.

The proposed intent is to increase the density of homes that might be built at this location. Locals seem to object to these plans. The question still remains: Where are the thousands of buyers flooding our front range area going to live if we don’t find ways to provide additional housing?

Erie Colorado Street League certified skate park

Erie, Colorado is ready to launch a landmark for skate boarding like no where in the world.

The Erie Community Skate Park is coming in at a cost of over $1,000,000 (that’s million!) , and a size of almost 17,000 square feet.

What’s unique about this park is that it’s apparently the world’s first permanent Street League certified skate park.

The park’s been under construction since August 2012, and it opened on Saturday the 12th.

The owner of Public Eye Skateboards, Michael Torian said, “This park …is a replica of the Street League competitive course.

Vista Ridge Golf Tourney

golfvistaridgeBlack Rock Elementary School PTO is hosting the first annual golf tournament this month.

On Saturday April 25th, at 10:00 am you’ll want to be at the Colorado National Golf Course in Vista Ridge which is only about a 20 minute drive from Boulder.

It’s a fundraiser to benefit technology needs at Black Rock Elementary.

It’s a ‘best ball’ style tournament beginning with a shotgun start sharply at 10:00. You’ll get box lunch when making the turn, and you should be finished in time for the dinner immediately following. Read more
