Boulder Colorado Wind
I was talking to a prospective buyer on the phone recently about the wind in Boulder, Colorado.
The concern was that some folks have posted on their blogs comments about how they felt that the wind in Boulder was too much for them.
“Could the little bit of occasional wind in Boulder cause someone to decide not to move to our beautiful community?” I asked myself.
Well, I have a couple very short stories about Boulder and wind, and much of it depends upon location, time of year, and of course the current weather pattern.
New Boulder Real Estate Development Near CU

I recently learned that there’s a new development in Boulder planned for the area near the planned $7 million pedestrian underpass at Broadway and Euclid in Boulder.
This underpass should help with all the traffic congestion, confusion, accidents and injuries which have plagued the area for decades.
The new project is estimated to include 39 living units, which the developer hopes will attract CU faculty and staff, as opposed to students, but it’s likely to be a mix given the proximity to campus.
Boulder Sold Home Prices, Are you being misled again?
I’m re-reading an article from Jan 13th which is talking about how the Boulder real estate market is tanking. This seems to be another hilarious, but actually no-so-funny example of how the media always wants to sensationalize any given situation.
Now, I suggest that we look at the data, and if you’re ever wondering what’s really going on in any of our local markets, whether it’s a particular city in the area, or even a particular neighborhood, let me pull the real data for you and we can analyze it together.
Sometimes the local print media is so full of ridiculous twists and turns just to sell a story, and sell the advertising they need to put the paper on the stands that it absolutely appalls me.
West Boulder and Downtown Tour
Yesterday was a great day. A bit cold at the end of the year, but it’s finally looking like winter for a change this season.
On the last day of 2010, I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with some wonderful people from a relatively unknown town called Flower Mound, Texas (unless you’re from the Dallas / Fort Worth area, then maybe you know Flower Mound!)
We started with lunch at Brasserie 1010, one of my favorite restaurants in Boulder, and then toured the neighborhoods of western central Boulder, and took a peek at a few homes for sale.
Ball Aerospace Employee Confirms New Jobs
Are you interested in the Boulder, Colorado Job Market? This morning I went for a long run. After my run, I ran into my friend Chris N. who works as an Electronic Packaging Engineer at Ball Aerospace.
He confirmed what I heard last month, that Ball Aerospace is hiring again; and they’re hiring in a big way.
Apparently, in his department alone, they’ll be adding about 30 to 40 workers within the next 30 to 75 days.
