Boulder’s Peloton Community: Only A Few New Homes Left
All of the Peloton homes offer ample bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, walk-in closets, and in many cases, fireplaces and storage closets.
More Jobs/Money Hit Boulder via SolidFire Inc.
Here we go again… another tech related company, SolidFire relocated to Boulder.
The reason? Founder and Chief Executive of SolidFire Inc., David Wright was quoted in the Boulder County Business Report as saying his reason to bring his company from Georgia to Boulder was to take advantage of the Boulder area’s history of innovation in data storage.
Remember, one of the early ground-breakers for the high tech and data storage in our area are IBM, Exabyte, Storage Tek, and many other spin-offs from through the last few decades… so SolidFire is right on track with the analysis that our area has a history in data storage.
Boulder County Septic System Regulations
Boulder septic systems continue to be hot topics in the county.
There have been many questions about the Boulder County rules regarding septic systems, and how things need to proceed when there’s a sale of a home in Boulder county which has a septic system, in lieu of a home connected to a community-based sewer system.
Boulder county enacted some new rules not too long ago, which require a seller of a home with a septic system to take certain steps to follow the guidelines and legally transfer the sale of their home to a buyer.
BVSD Chooses New Superintendent
Boulder Valley School District (BVSD), is favored locally by many people. Some look at test scores, some people choose based on diversity, or simply because they listen to what their friends and relatives tell them.
I sometimes get people from other parts of the country who come to me and say they prefer to have a home within BVSD.
Now the school district will have a new superintendent, Bruce Messinger, who is from Helena Montana at the helm.
Boulder Colorado Wind
I was talking to a prospective buyer on the phone recently about the wind in Boulder, Colorado.
The concern was that some folks have posted on their blogs comments about how they felt that the wind in Boulder was too much for them.
“Could the little bit of occasional wind in Boulder cause someone to decide not to move to our beautiful community?” I asked myself.
Well, I have a couple very short stories about Boulder and wind, and much of it depends upon location, time of year, and of course the current weather pattern.
