Boulder Restaurants Succeed at 29th Street and benefit from Century Theater

boulder restaurant exteriorSo after the recent escape from Superior and our lack of electricity (read as no air conditioning on a 99 degree day) we got a hankering to eat before the movie.
We’ve heard a lot of complaining from folks in the media about not having a reason to shop at 29th Street. Frankly, I think the restaurants ARE the destination for me and for those I hang out with. The other shopping has been secondary. (except maybe for the Apple store)
We made it to The Railyard Restaurant and Saloon up just above the Century Theater. The place was great. Got us in quickly, understood our schedule as we were seeing a movie with the kids and all that. Excellent food, nice bar etc. Everyone was really nice in here, including Weston our waiter (that’s him on the left in the photo above) which in my experience is a huge change from many Boulder, CO restaurants.

boulderrestaurantinteriorOwner/Chef Louis Moskow and his GM Brian Williamson and their crew took great care of us. They say business is really picking up now that the theater is open and I say it’s just another reason why people love to live, work and play in Boulder, CO. Here’s my family with Louis, Brian and our great wait staff. My receipt says Weston was our server and I should remember since I’m sure he told me but I’m ashamed toboulder waiter steven say I missed the boat on this short-term memory item.
