Boulder Casual Dining at Islands

islands.gifTo be honest, the first time I went to Islands at 29th Street in Boulder I was underwhelmed. While I still wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there, my meal today was much better than last time I checked it out.

I was over for lunch to cover a meeting with the manager of the Century Theater at 29th St. and the line at Panera was out the door. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a line here but they did seem to be pretty busy when we got into the lunch hour. I had some other decent dining experiences such as our outing to The Railyard, Sushi Yoshi (not at 29th), Colterra in Niwot, and Centro in Downtown Boulder.

The ‘famous’ fries aren’t anything to rave about but they do give you a heapin’ helpin’ of them… certainly enough for two.
