Antica Roma Restaurant; Pearl Street Favorite
I had an occasion to visit a local favorite restaurant: Trattoria Antica Roma. A Pearl Street favorite since 1991, Antica Roma has been a favorite of mine since our days of condo living in Downtown Boulder.
I remember days of secret late night runs in the rain (not really running of course, it was late and raining) to get a take-home order of their tiramisu. While they do a reasonable job of handling a ‘buffet’ for salads
accompanied by made-to-order pasta choices, I’ve lately found the food better off the menu.
I think I’ll need to go back for dinner again soon. Lunch was a little disappointing and with all the choices in the central downtown / Pearl Street area for dining such as Centro Latin Kitchen, (can you say “Dark and Stormy”?); Bacaro Taverna, Q’s, The Kitchen, Corner Bar, Boulder Cafe, Trattoria on Pearl, it’s hard to hang on history… any thoughts on your favorite local
downtown restaurant?
On a fine day like today with weather in the mid 70′s, it was a no-brainer to choose the outdoor patio for our lunch outing.
